Marguerite E. Cole

Wakefield, NH – Marguerite “Peg” E. Cole of Wakefield died Saturday, April 28th at the age of 91.  Formerly from the Kingston, NH area, she and her husband, Philip moved to Wakefield in 1981.

She was born April 18, 1921, the daughter of the late Gladys (Lougee) and David Cheney of Kingston, NH.  Peg was one of nineteen children, attending local schools in Kingston.  She worked for Western Electric Co. in Andover, MA for many years.

Among her many interests she enjoyed were fishing, camping, gardening, crocheting, sewing and quilt making along with her faithful companion, Daisy.

Family members include her son Harlan Tozier and his wife, Elizabeth of Brookfield, NH; Daughters-in-law Anne Tozier of Barkersfield, CA and Kathleen Renzi of Haverhill, MA; sisters Gloria Dinges of Bradford, MA and Sandra Page of Newton, NH; fourteen grandchildren, 29 great grand children and 18 great-great grand children and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Philip R. Cole, two sons Wayne D. Tozier, Haverhill, MA and Willard D. Tozier of Effingham, NH; a daughter Eleanor J. Hutchins of Tamworth, NH and grand daughter Robin E. Young of Danville, NH.

Services will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, NH at 5 – 7 pm on Wednesday, May 2nd.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  If desired, donations may be made to the Lakes Region Humane Society, P.O. Box 655, Ossipee, NH  03864.  Burial will be private.
