Leo P. Roy








Brentwood-Leo P. Roy, formerly of Brentwood died Thursday August 10, 2017 at the Hyder House in Dover NH.

He was born in Amesbury Ma. December 7, 1931 the son of the late Harmel J. and Marie (Roy) Roy.

He was raised in Amesbury and was a graduate of Amesbury High School. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. A builder by trade he was the owner of Leo P Roy Builder, he built many homes in the Brentwood area as well as Hampton.

He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather who was very generous with his time and talents. He loved helping people in any way he could. He was a devoted Catholic and a Christian man.

He was the husband of the late Martha J. Roy.

Mr. Roy loved his family deeply and is survived by family members which include his children, Lorrianne (Roy) Caprioli Newmarket, Edward Roy and daughter in Law Carmen Roy, Bosie Idaho, Paulette (Roy) Lemoine Kesington, and David Roy and his daughter in law Laurie Roy, Epping. His former son in laws Louis Caprioli of Hilton Head Island SC, and Kevin Lemoine of Brentwood. His sister Lucille Cynewski of Florida. He also has 8 surviving grandchildren, Ashleigh (Roy)Grant, Matt Roy, Gary Lemoine, Anthony Caprioli, Abigail Roy, Anne Roy, Mikaela Roy and Arianna Roy. 

Mr. Roy was predeceased by two children and his wife Martha J Roy.

Visiting hours will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road Exeter, NH on Friday August 18, 2017 from 5-8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets in Exeter, Saturday August 19 at 10 am. Burial will follow in the Brentwood Cemetery, Brentwood.  Family and friends welcome. Flowers are welcomed. Mr. Roy was a strong supporter of Rockingham County VNA, Rockingham County Hospice and Hyder House in Dover NH. Donations may be made to either organization.
