Brentwood - Martha J. Roy, 74, of Brentwood died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family

She was born July 12, 1935 in Brownington, VT a daughter of the late George and Irvinia (Freeheart) Beauregard.

Mrs. Roy was raised in Franklin, MA and was a graduate of Franklin High School. She had resided in Hampton, NH before moving to Brentwood and worked at the Rockingham County Nursing Home as an aide.

She met her husband of 57 years, Leo P. Roy at Hampton Beach when he was home on leave from the Military.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Epping, a member of the Brentwood Seniors was a wonderful cook and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, family members include her children, Edward A. Roy and his wife, Carmen of CO Springs, CO, David M. Roy and his wife, Laurie of Epping, Lorrianne M. Caprioli and her husband, Louis of Newmarket, Paulette Lemoine and her husband, Kevin of Brentwood, 9 grandchildren, her siblings, Kenneth Beauregard of MA, Francis Beauregard of AR, Nancy Hartford of MA, Margaret Ruggles of MA and Elaine Spencer of NC.

Mrs. Roy was predeceased by her daughter, son and sister.

A Celebration of her life will be celebrated at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Thursday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Burial will follow in the Brentwood Cemetery, Brentwood, NH. Flowers are acceptable or if you wish donations may be made to Rockingham VNA/Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833 or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
