Marie and Ted met while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force stationed in England. They were married in Wood Green, England and shortly after moved to the United States where they raised their family in Woburn, Mass., before moving to Stratham, NH in 1987.

Shortly after moving to Stratham, Marie decided to keep true to her British roots and opened the Lily Rose Curiosi’Tea Shop which was located in Exeter, New Hampshire.  She co-owned the shop with her daughter-in-law, Debbie and enjoyed serving traditional English tea and scones while talking about her life in England with many interested patrons.  Marie loved to entertain and had a knack for decorating.  She was a very generous and kind hearted woman and loved by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Marie’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Nanny” by her grandchildren Liam, Clarissa, Jacqueline and C.J.

Marie will be dearly missed by her family and many close friends.  A private service is planned for the immediate family. Assistance with the arrangements was by the Stockbridge Funeral Home.
