Barbara A. Collins



Exeter - Barbara A. Collins, 87, of Kensington, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at her home with her daughters at her side.

A lifelong resident she was born here September 2, 1923 the daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Rohr) Stocks of Exeter, NH.

Mrs. Collins was a graduate of the Robinson Female Seminary.  She was a Patient Account Representative for Exeter Family Medicine for 25 years.

Barbara was very devoted to her family.  She was a joy to be with and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was the wife of the late George A. Collins.

Family members include her daughters, Brenda J. Schmidt and her husband, Dr. Morton of Stratham, Cathy C. Silva and her husband, Jay of St. Thomas, VI, her sister Shirley Schofield of NJ, her grandchildren, Katie (Schmidt) Chapman and her husband, David, Sam Schmidt, Lili Silva and Maya Silva, her great granddaughter, Audrey Chapman.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11 AM.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the funeral home from 10 AM until the hour of the service.  Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery, Exeter.  The family requests donations to the Rockingham VNA/Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
