Gerald F. Byrne







Brentwood – Gerald F. Byrne, 89, of Brentwood died, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Merrimac Hospice House.

He was born March 24, 1925 in Everett, MA the son of the late Francis and Eva (Kretz) Byrne.

He was raised in Everett and attended local schools. He resided in Exeter for 40 years before moving to Brentwood. He was a auto mechanic for Goodyear Tire Company and also worked for the former King Chevolet in Exeter.

He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, Exeter, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Coucil #2179 and also served as a Eucharistic minister.

He enjoyed bowling and spending time with family.

He was the husband of the late Marjorie C. (McCann) Byrne .  He was predeceased by four of his siblings.

Family members include his children, Kathleen Pratt of Exeter, Daniel F. Byrne of Rye, John Byrne of South Berwick, ME, Thomas P. Byrne of Exeter, William Byrne of Pembroke, eight grandchildren, his sister, Rose Mary Carol of MA.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Tuesday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Monday from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery. If desired donations may be made to the St. Michael’s Building Fund, 9 Lincoln Street, Exeter, NH 03833.
