North Hampton – Bertha J. Wolfsen, 94, of North Hampton died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the Genesis Heath Care Exeter Campus.

She was born in Amesbury, MA the daughter of the late Christian and Ethel (Burrill) Anderson.

She was a graduate of Amesbury High School and worked for the Exeter Banking Company in the loan Department for many years, following this she worked at the Exeter Hospital.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ, North Hampton and a member of the Ladies Union at the church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Exeter.

She was the wife of the late Franklin Wolfsen.

Family members include her daughter, Susanne J. Cronin of North Hampton, her son, Glenroy B. Wolfsen of South Burlington, VT, her grandchildren Kimberly and her husband, Dan, Lisa, Laura and Michael, her great grandchildren, Rowan and Liam, her sister, Lois Guiffreda of Exeter.

She was predeceased by her son-in-law , Joseph D. Cronin and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Wolfsen.

Services will be held at the United Church of Christ, Atlantic Avenue, North Hampton, Thursday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery, North Hampton.
