Stratham – D. Craig Wark, Jr., 82 , of Stratham died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Edgewood Centre, Portsmouth.

He was born August 23, 1929 in Newton, MA the son of the late Donald C. and Mildred (Patee) Wark.

Mr. Wark was raised in Lexington, MA and was a graduate of Lexington High School , he was a graduate of University of Maine with his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and continued is education attending night classes to receive his Master’s Degree in Business.

He worked at General Electric in Lynn, MA, worked at the J. H. Winn Company as a national Sales Manager, he left Winn and started his own company and partnered with John Alcock covering most of New England.

He was a member of the Winchester Rotary, served as president, he was elected District Governor for Rotary District #7930 from 1982-1983. Served as Library Trustee of the Wiggin Memorial Library for several years, serving as chairman for 3 years, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Library Trustees Association, he was named Trustee of the year 2004 and named Trustee Emeritus in 2010.

Family members include his wife of 59 years, Jean E. (Richmond) Wark of Stratham, his children, David A. Wark of Farmington, Deborah J. Post of Naples, FL, Pamela Perry and her husband,Thomas Perry of Londonderry, his grandchildren, Kelsey Perry, Ian Perry and Jack Perry of Londonderry.

Services will be held at the Stratham Community Church, 6 Emery Lane, Stratham, NH, on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family requests no visiting hours and flowers please be omitted. If desired donations may be made to the Wiggin Memorial Library, Bunker Hill Avenue, Stratham, NH 03885. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA.
