James S. Tobin
James S. Tobin, 67, of Epping, NH passed away on September 25, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
Born on July 10, 1947 in New Britain, CT and a graduate of New Britain High School in 1965, James was a longtime resident of Plainville, CT.
James, a loving and dedicated husband and father, was married to Marlene Tobin (nee Navickas) for the past 47 years. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his mother, Marian Tobin, two sisters, Linda Mangel of New Bern, NC and Janet LaBella of Colchester, CT a son, Sean, a daughter, Colleen, several nieces and other family and friends. James was predeceased by his father, Robert Tobin in 2012.
James worked as a Design Engineer for Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT for over 44 years. Jim was an avid stamp and coin collector and was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and the men's and women's University of Connecticut basketball teams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the National MS Society. The family wishes to thank the tremendous warmth and caring James received in his final days from the staff of the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
