Wayne R. Stone


Hampton - Wayne R. Stone, 53, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Concord Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was born in Exeter October 3, 1958 a son of Pierrette (Gaulin) Stone of Stratham and the late Norman B. Stone. Wayne was a 1976 graduate of Exeter High School and resided several years in Stratham before moving to Hampton in 2005.

An interstate truck driver, Mr. Stone owned and operated W.R. Stone Transport.

Wayne enjoyed riding his Harley and snowmobile whenever possible. 

In addition to his mother, family members include his wife of 6 ½ months, Joanne (Dunham) Stone of Hampton; a son, Christopher Stone of Newton; a step-daughter, Ashley Marie Webster of Hampton; a brother Dennis R. Stone and his wife Jackie of Stratham;, an aunt and uncle, Doris and Joseph Gaulin of Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, March 2, 2012 from  2 – 4 and 6 – 8 P.M. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 A.M. in St. Michael Church, Corner of Front and Lincoln Street, Exeter.  Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: New Heights – Adventures for Teens, 100 Campus Drive Suite 23, Portsmouth, NH 03801.
