Elizabeth "Betty" Stockbridge


Elizabeth “Betty” Stockbridge, 86, passed away on April 22, 2012 at her residence in Carson City, Nevada.  

Elizabeth was born October 25, 1925, in Exeter, NH, the daughter of the late Lillian (Jackson)and Carl Stockbridge.

Betty is survived by her sons Bradley Corbin, Barry Corbin, Blair Corbin, Bevin Corbin and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Betty was predeceased by her first husband Robert Corbin, youngest son Brett Corbin, eldest son Brian Corbin and second husband Gil Oliver. 

Betty was a NH native, spending a majority of her life in Stratham, NH where she became the first female selectman in town history. She raised 6 boys while travelling the world with her family. Betty always returned to the home she knew and loved in Stratham, NH.

Betty was known for her beautiful smile, contagious laugh and passion for her friends and family. She enjoyed each day life brought her and made sure she brought joy to all those around her. Betty was especially dedicated to her children and grandchildren whom she made sure were a part of her daily life. She taught them most to be strong, loving, caring and kind individuals; a legacy all survived plan to continue carrying on in the years to come. 

Services will be held September 15, 2012 at the Stratham Community Church, Emery Lane, Stratham at 9 AM.  Following the service a gathering will be held at the Stratham Hill Park.  Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Stratham.
