Matthew L. Stemska
Hampton – Matthew L. Stemska, 83, of Hampton died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Exeter Hospital.
He was born June 2, 1932 in Manchester, NH.
He was a graduate of Central High School and lived most of his life in Manchester. He retired and moved to Hampton Beach. He worked for the Blanchette-Stebbins Construction Company for many years as a Estimator and Project Manager who introduced the Inland Ryerson Pre-Engineered Building Division.
He was a member of the National Guard 941st Field Artillery Battalion, a Loan Executive for Manchester United Way Campaign, a member of the Pinardville Lions Club serving as Chairman of the Car Drive, Board of Directors Boys Club where he initiated bingo games as a key fundraising source and the Past President of PTA at Gossler School. He enjoyed being an umpire for Manchester CWV league.
Family members include his wife of 60 years, Rita L. (Pratte) Stemska, his children, Matthew E. Stemska and his wife, Joanne, Susan R. Meunier and her husband, Izzy, Judith A. Postera and her husband, Barry, Patricia E. Rathbun and her husband, Jeremy, Jeanne F. Hulse and her husband, Scott, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private.
Matthew was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose greatest love centered around his family.
