Lois E. Stapley
Exeter – Lois E. Stapley , 85, of Exeter died peacefully Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at the Hyder Hospice House in Dover after a period of failing health.
She was born January 27, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of the late George and Vera (Nixon) Heintz, III.
Mrs. Stapley resided in Exeter for 34 years, moving here from Rochester, NY where she married her husband of 62 years, George Stapley.
A Homemaker, she was an avid reader and loved to travel. She along with her husband traveled all over North America, Canada and the Caribbean Islands, Mexico and Europe.
Mrs. Stapley was predeceased by her husband, George in February of this year and a sister and sister-in-law, Shirley Stapley.
Family members include her sons, Allan Stapley and his wife, Beverly of Alton and Douglas Stapley and his wife, Tracy of W. Newfields, ME, her grandsons, Kendall Stapley and his wife, Karen of Alton and Mark and his finance, Stephanie of Somersworth, a grand daughter, Diane Southern and her husband, Steve of Austin, TX and two great grandchildren, Payton Stapley and Kendrick Stapley.
Services will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family from 4 PM until the hour of the service. Burial will be private.
