Evelyn E. Specian
Brentwood – Evelyn E. Specian, 97, of Brentwood, formerly of Clinton, MA, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at her home.
She was born June 16, 1916, in Keene, NH, the daughter of the late Louis and Maria Papile.
She was a 1934 graduate of Keene High School and a member of the Civil Air Patrol during World War II. She lived most of her life in Clinton, MA, working as an administrative assistant at ITT Surprenant and later as a secretary for Francis Coleman. After, in retirement, she spent her time as a homemaker, an avid cook and a recipe collector.
She was a member of St. John’s Church in Clinton and enjoyed her time with the Sterling Garden Club.
Family members include her daughter with whom she lived, Elaine Wiesman, and her husband, Jim; her son, Robert Specian and his wife, Donna of Hudson, MA; her grandchildren, Heather and Scott, Vasily and Natalya; her great grandchildren, Cortland, Caulder, Brighton, Brooke and Taylor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Specian, and her grandson, Jamie Wiesman.
Services will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Friday, December 20, at 2 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family at the funeral home, Friday from 1 PM until the hour of the service. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keene, NH at a future date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Make-a-Wish Foundation or the National MPS Society.
