Exeter– Kathleen Anne Slattery, known to friends and family as Kathie, 58, of Exeter died Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Denver, Colorado.

She was born on July 23, 1956 in Weymouth, MA the daughter of the late John Harkin and Priscilla (Gionet) O'Connor and step-daughter of the late Edward O'Connor. Kathie was raised in Braintree, MA and was a graduate of Braintree High School Class of 1974. She was a consummate customer service professional, most recently working at Heinemann in Portsmouth, NH.

Kathie was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and community member. She played an active role in school events, she was a community leader, and above all a wonderful friend.

Family members include her husband of 33 years, Robert (Bob) Slattery Jr., her daughter, Maura Sleeth and her husband, Brandon, her son, Matthew, sister Pauline Sullivan and her husband, Joesph, sister Suzanne Pry, sister Barbara Marks and husband Steven, brother Michael Harkin and wife, Cherylanne, brother Paul Harkin and wife, Susan, brother Edward O'Connor and wife Janet, brother Jack O'Connor and wife Janet, as well as many nieces and nephews. Kathie was predeceased by her sister Claudia Harkin, brother Kenneth Harkin, and brother Thomas O'Connor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014 from 4-8 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
