Margaret Anne
Siderwitch

Margaret Anne Siderwitch of Fort Myers, Florida passed surrounded by angels on December 8th, 2016 in the afternoon; she was Ninety-Seven. At the time of her passing, Margaret was residing at the wonderful Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, New Hampshire.

Margaret was born of Scottish immigrants in Lafayette, Indiana early in the last century. She was the youngest of seven children; three brothers: David, Walter, Billy and three sisters: Mary, Isabel and Helen. Margaret was a very active young woman who loved to ride horses and swim and high dive.

Margaret moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and worked as an assembler at Western Electric; it was here after WWII where she met her soon to be husband, the handsome, gregarious John Siderwitch. The young couple was active in buying and selling real estate, and moved about the country eventually settling in the North East. After living in North Tewksbury, Massachusetts for a decade they next moved east to the town of Andover where they built a wonderful house on Indian Ridge. John was now a manager for Western Electric at the large manufacturing facility in nearby North Andover; Margaret loved to do interior design and decoration, working with a white cavass accented with soft pastel colors.

In the early 1980’s the couple retired to Fort Myers, Florida where they built their dream retirement home in Fiddlesticks. When John sadly passed in 2002, Margaret moved to a coach home in a nearby Beach Club where she enjoyed swimming and an active social life with many new friends.

Margaret is survived by her children, a wonderful granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. She was loved, and will be loved as she lives on within our hearts.
