Pauline "Polly" Ruth Shaw

Newfields - Pauline “Polly” Ruth Shaw, 81, of Main Street, died June 26, 2015 at Webster at Rye.

She was Born June 2, 1934 in Amesbury, MA the daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth (Chesley) Turner MacDougall.

Polly graduated from Robinson Female Seminary in Exeter, class of 1952 and McIntosh Business College, Dover in 1954.

She was a softball coach for the Newfields Youth Athletic Association. Polly was a charter member of the Newfields Fire Department Auxiliary, “The Fireflies.”

Polly was a long time member of the Newfields Community Church where she was married in 1955.

She was predeceased by her sister, Janet Kukene and niece Susan (Glass) Waymouth.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, George “Jack” Shaw; four children, Luanne Shaw McLane of Exeter, Larry Shaw of Newfields, Paul Shaw and his wife Shelly of Pittsburg, NH, Lisa Shaw Crow and her husband Daniel of Stratham, grandson Joshua Crow and his wife Christine and great granddaughter Amelia of Stratham; granddaughter, Jenna Crow Reynolds and husband Todd and great grandchildren Harper and Mason of Manchester; one sister Carole Glass and her husband Vernon of Newfields and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at Rockingham VNA & Hospice and Webster at Rye for their wonderful care.

A Celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 AM until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Newfields. Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Newfields Community Church, 71 Main Street, Newfields, NH 038856 or Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
