Linda M. Sandberg








Exeter – Linda M. Sandberg, 74, of Exeter died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Oceanside Rehab. Center in Hampton.

She was born in Newburyport, MA on November 29th 1942 the daughter of the late Edward B. and Lois (Matthews) Sandberg. Linda is one of six children and was predeceased by an older sister, Gretchen Federhen of Harvard, Massachusetts and a younger brother Stuart J Sandberg of Keene, New Hampshire.

Linda was a graduate of Winnacunnet High School, Hampton, New Hampshire in 1960. Upon graduating from high school Linda pursued Nurses training at the Winthrop Hospital School of Practical Nursing. Linda also earned an Associate of Arts degree from North Shore Community College in June of 1988 and a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Pheonix in June of 2009. Linda's nursing career spanned thirty-five years. She worked at Lynn, Malden and Whidden Hospitals in Massachusetts and for many years as a LPN at Sunbridge of Exeter.

Family members include her sisters, Lois Mazurka of Exeter and Katherine and husband Ross Kenyon of Clinton, Massachusetts and her brother, Anthony B. and wife Veronica Sandberg of Mansfield, Georgia. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews; Linden Mazurka, Lauren Barrett, Jennifer Benoit, Rebecca Riggs and others.

Aside from her family, and her nursing career Linda was passionate about music. She loved to sing and was a member of the Sweet Adelines Merrimack Valley Chorus, the Community Chorus of South Berwick Maine as well as choir member at the Congregational Church of Exeter. Through her singing with Sweet Adelines she also pursued her love of traveling to Europe and throughout the United States.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. September 19, 2017 at the Westview Cemetery, Hampton Falls, NH. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only. If desired donations may be made the Merrimack Valley Chorus, at www.merrimackvalleychorus.com.
