Eric Ryan Rush
Hampton – Eric Ryan Rush, 36, of Hampton formerly of Stratham died Monday, June 17, 2013 at the MGH Hospital in Boston.
He was born March 9, 1977 in Portsmouth, NH the son of Michael J. Rush of Nashua and Kathleen Kelley Rush of North Hampton.
Eric attended Berwick Academy, Holderness School and the University of New Hampshire graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in History.
Eric had many passions. He enjoyed the ocean, fishing and sailing. He shared many fond memories skiing in Waterville Valley with friends and family. While he attended Holderness he enjoyed playing baseball and football as a quarterback, where in 2006 he coached JV football.
Eric had a lifetime of education growing up within the real estate industry. After graduation from UNH he worked in financial trading, both locally with Edward Jones and in NYC with T3 Trading Group LLC. Later, he returned to the family business to financially manage the real estate properties of Rush Realty, Inc. Also he was an active on the Board of Directors at the Kittery Point Yacht Club.
Eric was known as a Gentle Giant and was loved by all. His family was the center of his universe. He was happiest spending time with his friends and family especially his loving wife Cory and his cherished daughter Sienna Grace. He was a devoted son, Father, Husband and a wonderful brother who supported MJ in all his struggles.
He surrounded himself with many friends who he always held very dear to his heart. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, loving nature and his dedication to his family, friends and colleagues.
In addition to his parents family members include his wife, Cory (Lanzillo) Rush of Hampton, his daughter, Sienna Grace Rush of Hampton, his mother and father in law, Kenneth and Bette Lanzillo of Stratham, NH. and his brother in law, Josh Lanzillo of Portsmouth.
Eric also leaves his aunt Theresa Swan, uncle, Robert “Bob” Kelley, several aunts, cousins , step brothers, step sisters and many friends.
Eric was predeceased by his brother, Michael Jon Rush, Jr. who died in 2004 and his devoted step father Edward Houck, Sr. died in 2002.
Visitation will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Thursday from 2-7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Theresa Church, 815 Central Road, Rye Beach, Friday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Little River Cemetery, North Hampton.
