Rochester - Virginia L. Richard, 78 , of Rochester died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Kirkwood Corners Assisted Living in Lee.
She was born April 21, 1932 in Amesbury, MA the daughter of the late James and Doris (Dore) Gleason.
She attended schools in Amesbury, MA and lived most of her life in Exeter, moving to Rochester in 1996. A Homemaker she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed her cats company.
The family is very grateful for the wonderful care she received by the staff at Kirkwood Corners.
She was the wife of the late Arthur R. Richard.
Family members include her children, Wayne Richard and his wife, Christine of Barrington, Brian Richard, Carol St. Armour and her husband, Jeff of Madison, Julie Higgins of Rochester, ten grandchildren, Jessica Cufone, Kaylee McLean, Jillian Richard, Alaina Richard, Brian Richard, Darrell Stayman, Sarah Richard, Karen Vincent, Roy West and Haley Higgins, four great grandchildren, Christopher and Collin McLean and Allyson and Cameron Vincent.
Mrs. Richard was predeceased by a son, Michael B. Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, NH Wednesday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, NH, Tuesday from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery. Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-9376.
