Eleanor Reid

Eleanor “Ellie” Reid, ageless, died November 6, 2013 at the Exeter Hospital.

She was born in Blackstone, MA the daughter of the late Albert and Catherine Mercier.

She owned and operated the Colony Shop in Exeter and York, ME for many years. She was a very active member of the Exeter Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Easter Airline Silverliners, was the sponsor of many fashion shows in the town and a lot of the local children and mothers became regular participants.

Ellie was always dressed to the nines when she was out and about, she along with her husband, Bob were a striking couple. They loved to entertain at their home in Brentwood, and had many close friends.

Family was everything to Ellie and she especially loved and adored her grandchildren Jimmy and Jaz and was known as “Mimim”.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, June 14th from 3-5 PM along with her son, James who passed away on May 15, 2015.
