Dorothy B. Ray









Hampton: Dorothy B. Ray, formerly of Exeter, passed away on May 12.

Born on October 29, 1935, in Arlington MA, Dottie was the first of three children to the late Frank and Dorothy (Gayton) Perry. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas A. Ray, of Exeter, in 1955, and after a two year stay in Honolulu, Hawaii, where Tom was stationed in the Air Force, they returned to Exeter to raise their four children.

For over 30 years, Dottie was the bookerkeeper at Wentworth Lumber Company in Exeter. She is predeceased by her husband Tom, daughter Wendy, and sister Frances (Perry) Ward.

She is survived by her brother Edmund Perry, son Rand Ray and his wife Cleanne Cass, Susan Ray and her husband Mathew Estey, son Steven Ray, daughters-in-law Kathy Ho and Lisa Ray, and three grand children: Schuyler, Mara, and Megan.

A Celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, May 17, 6 PM, at Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery.
