William E. Qualter, Jr.

Exeter- William E. Qualter, Jr., 69, of Exeter died Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

He was born December 5, 1943 in Malden, MA the son of the late William E. and Kathleen (Lyons) Qualter, Sr.

He lived most of his life in Malden, MA and was a graduate of Reading High School. He served four years in the U.S. Navy on board the U.S.S. Intrepid. He was the Vice president of Marketing for Essex Bank in Peabody, MA for many years.

Family members include his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Sheehy) Qualter of Exeter who was the love of his life, best friend and loving caretaker. He is also survived by his extended family: Peter and Christine Delaney of Boxford, Mass. , Paul and Susan Delaney of West Newbury, Mass, Michael Delaney of Amesbury, Mass., Sharon and Joseph Rizzatano of Weare, NH, Marc and Theresa Delaney of Kingston, NH and Mathew and Shaunna Delaney of Newton, NH. , brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends and neighbors.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter Tuesday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Monday from 5-7 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the NH SPCA, PO Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885 or the Cocheco Valley Humane Society, 262 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery.
