Virginia T. "Ginny" Plourde


EXETER - Virginia T. "Ginny" Plourde, 78, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Exeter Hospital, following a period of failing health.

Ginny was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Exeter, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Abbie (Denoncour) Driscoll.

An Exeter resident for most of her life, she was a 1948 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Tyngsboro, Mass., and later of the McIntosh Business School in Dover.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary at Osram Sylvania in Exeter for over 25 years.

Mrs. Plourde was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Exeter.

Family members include her husband of 52 years, Roger L. Plourde of Exeter; a daughter, Francine Hennessey, Md., and her husband, David, of Bedford, Mass.; two sons, Maurice Plourde and Michael Plourde, both of Exeter; a sister Marjorie Magoon of Daytona Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Nicolas and Emma Plourde and Dan, Tim, and Theresa Hennessey; and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michaels Church Front Street, Exeter. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Residence Christmas Fund, C/O Rockingham Nursing Home, 117 North Road, Brentwood, NH 03833.
