Shirley Jane Pinette
Shirley Jane Pinette of Kingston, NH died Tuesday at Exeter Hospital after a long illness at home.
She was born in Brunswick, Maine and moved to Kingston in 1979. She was educated in the South Harpswell, Maine school system.
Shirley loved the outdoors including fishing, camping, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and family events and celebrations. She was a skilled, self-taught cook who made a mean Texas sheet cake and meaner Lasagna.
Her priorities centered around her family, all children, and animals. She radiated an outgoing personality and joy of life that attracted everyone meeting her. Neighborhood children called her the "animal lady" because she often took in homeless stray animals. She was an avid and skilled fisherman who enjoyed the chase but threw them back.
She will be sorely missed by friends and her immediate and extended family including husband Paul, sister Judy Small of South Harpswell, Maine, son Michael and wife Danielle of Fremont, grandchildren Samantha and Jacob and an extended family of children who loved her as simply "Grammy Pinette."
A memorial service will be held at Stockbridge Memorial Chapel in Exeter on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
