Wayne M. Patten
Exeter, NH – Wayne M. Patten, 75, of Exeter died Monday April 28, 2014 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Anson, ME on December 20, 1938, the son of Herschell and Athylene Blaisdell. He moved to Exeter in 1974 with his wife Joyce.
Wayne was an entrepreneur his entire life, embarking on many endeavors, most recently including Honey-B-Honey and caring for his bees. Prior to that, he owned and operated Senior Hand, and owned and managed many real estate properties.
Wayne is survived by his wife Joyce L. (Maxwell) Patten, his daughter Tammy Patten and partner Chuck Downes, daughter Lynne Sutherland and husband Doug, son Sean Patten and wife Dawn, and son Todd Patten and wife Becky. His grandchildren Stephanie Dall, Jennifer Bristol, Mitchell Patten, Victoria Weber, Camden Patten, Nolan Patten and Logan Szmit and great grandchildren, Aiden Hefferon and Sophia Dall, also survive him. Wayne also leaves behind his life partner Joan Ellen Hayes, her daughter Meredyth and Joan’s grandson Corey. His beloved cats Jingles and Arius will miss him greatly.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Sunday May 4, 2014 at The Tavern at River’s Edge from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wayne’s Honey-B-Honey Foundation, C/O The Provident Bank, 95 Portsmouth Avenue, Exeter, NH 03833.
