Exeter – Germaine H. O’Brien, 94, of Exeter died Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

She was born February 14, 1922 in Frenchville, ME the daughter of the late William and Edith (Chevalier) Emond.

Mrs. O’Brien was raised in Frenchville, ME and was a graduate of Frenchville High School. A homemaker, she lived in the seacoast area since 1941, she married her husband, James in 1943 in the Immaculate Conception Church in Portsmouth.

She was a communicant of St. Michael Church, Exeter.

Family members include her husband, James J. O’Brien of Exeter, her children, Ronald L. O’Brien of Exeter, James W. O’Brien of South Berwick, ME and Nancy Gregory of Rochester, NH, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private. If desired donations may be made to the charity of ones’ choice.
