Elizabeth F. Noyes
Elizabeth F. Noyes, age 89, of Stratham NH, passed away on Sunday May 17, 2015 at Exeter Hospital.
Born October 11, 1925, in Madison Maine. Elizabeth moved to New Castle NH where she graduated from Portsmouth High School and made a living as a Postal Clerk . Elizabeth was married in March of 1945 and moved to Stratham NH where she and her husband, David (Bumpa) C. Noyes raised their family. Elizabeth was like a second mom to many family members that she cared for and raised on their farm in Stratham. For a time, Elizabeth worked for the University of New Hampshire in the Audio Visual Department. She then returned to a career as a Postal clerk in Stratham until she retired. She and her husband were an intregal part of the Stratham Community. Throughout her life “Gam” as she was known by many, volunteered her time for many community groups. PTA, Couples Club, SVFD, Ladies Auxiliary and in 1966 the 250th Anniversary Celebration for the Town of Stratham which became the Stratham Fair the following year.
Elizabeth is survived by two children Lizabeth A. Chisholm and Dana C Noyes, and her seven grandchildren Christopher Chisholm, William Chisholm, Craig Chisholm, Katie Noyes, Tiffanie Conti, Daniel Noyes and Chandra Poulin. Also surviving Elizabeth are 11 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends that loved and adored her.
Services will be held this Saturday May 23, 2015 at the Stratham Community Church 6 Emery Lane, Stratham NH. Visitation will be held from 12 pm to 1 pm. Memorial services and interment will immediately follow. Her family thanks all those that were a part of Elizabeth's extraordinary life. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be made to Stratham Community Church “Spring Challenge”. Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter.
