Mary G. Moulton






Exeter - Mary G. Moulton, 90 passed away peacefully in her home on April 13th with loving family members at her side. She was born on May 9, 1926 in Dover, NH to the late Edward and Leah (Edgerly) Gotham and spent her early years in Hampton prior to moving to Exeter.

She was the wife of the late Walter Moulton who passed away in 2004. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was educated at Sanborn Regional High School and worked for many years as a telephone operator at New England Telephone (NYNEX/Verizon), retiring in 1988. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, summer band concerts, reading, crossword puzzles and dining out. She especially enjoyed visiting her dear friend Irene Hamel in Florida each winter and reconnecting with her fellow retirees there.

Family members include four sons, James Gilmore of Green Valley, AZ, Richard Gilmore of North Hampton, Stephen Gilmore of Sierra Vista, AZ and Kevin Gilmore of Exeter; four daughters, Janet Gilmore and Ruth (Rudy) Peterson both of Sierra Vista, AZ, Susan Barham and Teresa (Tammy) Moreau both of Exeter; beloved son-in-law Ernest Barham; six grandchildren, Jennifer Wells (Jeff), Rebecca Doucet (Dan), Joseph Gilmore, Kimberly Dresdner (Nick Grant), Amy Caron (Arius), and Seth Barham (Ana Fonseca); and eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Brady and Addison Wells, Benjamin and Emma Doucet, Reagan Barham, and Eleanora Caron.

The family would like to express its gratitude to Dr Michael Wu and Rockingham Hospice for the excellent care provided to our mother.

Services: A Celebration of her life will be held at Stockbridge Funeral Home at 141 Epping Rd, Exeter, NH 03833 on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 1-3 PM, with a service a 3 PM . Donations may be made to Rockingham Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 137 Epping Rd, Exeter, NH 03833. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery.
