Gary Lee Miller
Epping - Gary Lee Miller, 63, of Epping, NH passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
He was born in Presque Isle, ME, the son of Clifford and Laura Miller. Gary graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1971. While in high school, he started the Lighthouse Coffeehouse where he helped troubled youth and led them to his treasured Savior. After high school, Gary attended Faith School of Theology in Brooklyn, ME. During his years there, he met his beloved wife, Lorna, as well as pastored a small church. He went on to become the Youth and Children’s pastor at the Syracuse, NY Church of God, New Life Assembly in Raymond, NH, and Faith Christian Center in Bedford, NH. Gary pastored churches in Arcade, NY and Manchester, NH. In addition he served as a Royal Ranger Commander for many years. Gary and his wife managed The Haven Youth Club on Elm Street in Manchester, NH.
Gary loved his family, his God, and his country. He could always be seen with a smile on his face and a coffee in his hand sharing the love of Jesus. He loved talking to anyone and everyone anywhere. Gary took great pride in his beautiful finish work on cabinetry and furniture and was well known for this work.
Throughout his life, Gary touched many lives. He was the absolute best husband, father, and grandfather we could have asked for and will be extremely missed.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lorna; his two adored daughters, Brandi Dunn, her husband, Sean; Tiffany Eaton, her husband, Cody; two cherished grandsons, Devin and Dylan; his three brothers Bob Miller, his wife, Penny; Andrew Kinney, his wife, Dianne; and Wayne Skidgel all of Maine; his sisters, Jenny Beckwith of Texas and Phyllis Helton, her husband, Bill of Maine and a former sister-in-law Sherry Thibodeau of Maine; his Aunt Margaret Reiger, her husband, Gene of Florida; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; one sister and her husband, Shirley and Wendell Tapley all of Maine.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 30 from 5-8 pm at Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter NH. Burial will be Friday, July 1 at 11 am at Prospect Cemetery in Epping, NH. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, July 1 at 6 pm at Trinity Life Community Church, 12 Station Road, Bedford, NH. The family has requested that attendees of the celebration service please wear bright colored clothes. They would like this time to be a true celebration and testament of Gary's life and not a somber reflection.
