John W. Mielke

Stratham – John W. Mielke, 68, of Stratham died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 23, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY the son of Doris (Woodcock) Mielke and the late Allan Mielke.

John was raised in Niagara Falls and was a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School Class of 1964. He attended Niagara Community College, served in the U.S. Navy for seven years and worked for Sea-3 Propane Terminal in Newington for 39 years.

He was a member of the Exeter Sportsman Club and the 19th hole Golf League of Sagamore.

He was the kindest, most generous man and would do anything for anyone whether he knew them or not.

Family members include his wife of 28 years, Mary E. (de Redon) Mielke, his son, Michael E. Jordan and his wife, Michelle, his brothers, Timothy, Stephen, Dennis and Kevin Mielke, his sisters, Dorothy Mielke and Paula Mielke, his grandchildren Dylan and Savannah Jordan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter Monday, July 21st, 2014 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Sunday, July 20th, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Amy’s Treat, Seacoast Cancer Center, P.O. Box 2234, Dover, NH 03821.
