Nathalie M. Martin
Nathalie M. Martin, 85, died peacefully on December 30, 2010 at Exeter Hospital.
Nathalie was born in Portland, ME, on September 6, 1925; she was the daughter of Francis A. and Helen (Wilson) Murphy. She graduated from Deering High School, Portland, ME and attended Northeast Business College. She worked for Noyes & Chapman Insurance Company and was a former member of the Woodfords Congregational Church in Portland. She lived most of her life in her beloved Portland, ME, until moving to NH, most recently at the Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Community, where she was much loved by the residents and staff.
She is survived by her son, C. Andrew Martin, and his partner, Rabbi Lev Baesh, of Malden, MA; a sister, Eleanor Wade, of St. Petersburg, FL; and a nephew Robert F. Wade and his wife, Sabra Wade, of York, ME and their children and grandchildren. Her husband, Donald E. Martin, and her sister, Janet M. Greeno, predeceased Nathalie.
A private family service is planned at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland, ME. Should friends desire, memorial remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association; Gift Processing Center; PO Box 78851; Phoenix, AZ 85062-8851 or to the Activity Fund at Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Community; 117 North Road; Brentwood, NH 03833. Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter.
