Exeter - Constance “Connie” Churchill MacDougall of Exeter NH passed away peacefully in her home on Sept 6, 2014 after a long illness.

Connie was born in Rochester NH on December 10, 1933 to Fred and Evelyn (Massey) Churchill. She graduated from the Robinson Female Seminary in 1951 and then studied Nursing at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester NH where she became a registered nurse and received her cap.

Connie was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She created a warm and welcoming home for many. She was an active community member including volunteer work for the Booster Clubs and Exeter Little League baseball. She worked for a number of years in the Exeter High School as a special education aide. She then worked for many years as a Nurse at the Rockingham County Nursing home.

Connie lived her entire life in the town of Exeter and touched the hearts of many throughout the community. She will be remembered by her friends and family as a loving, trusting individual who brought the best out of those around her. She will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles (Chick) MacDougall, her five children and their spouses, James and Cathy MacDougall, David and Eliza MacDougall, Thomas and Carol MacDougall, Daniel and Kathy MacDougall, and Kathryn and Ervin Hagler along with ten grand-children, her sister Mary Lou Hinds and her husband Jerry Hinds and her sister-in-law Judy Churchill. Connie is predeceased by her brother, James Churchill.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road in Exeter from 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held on Friday, September 12, at 11 am at the Stockbridge Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, NH.  If desired may be made to Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
