Cynthia J. “Cindy” Lavoie







Exeter – Cynthia J. “Cindy” Lavoie, 66, of Exeter died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Exeter Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born October 12, 1948 in Van Buren, ME the daughter of Adeline (Soucy) and the late Ivan Gagnon.

Cindy was raised in Maine and was a graduate of Caribou High School and from the School of Hair Design in New Loudon, CT.  A beautician for all of her life, she worked for many years at Hairs 2 U beauty shop in Exeter. 

She lived in Exeter for over 44 years, was a communicant of St. Michael Church, the Exeter Women’s Club and the Garden Club.  She was always concerned and caring for others before herself.  She was a very devoted wife, mother and especially grandmother.

She will be fondly remembered for her contagious and beautiful smile and her kind and gentle heart.

Family members include her husband of 47 years, Phil K. Lavoie, her children, Phil K. Lavoie, Jr. and his wife, Laura, and Gwen M. Rich and her husband, Gregory, her grandchildren, Brittany Gilmore and Lance Lavoie, and Robby Rich, her brothers, Mark Gagnon and his wife, Toni and Daniel Gagnon and his wife, Lynne, also survived by many loyal customers and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Monday at 10 AM.  Realtives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family, Sunday from 3-6 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter.  Burial will be private.  If desired donations may be made to the Exeter Hospital Oncology Center.
