Marjorie L. Landry
Dover - Marjorie L. Landry, 73, of Dover died unexpectedly Monday, December 28, 2009 at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston.
She was born July 14, 1936 in Brentwood, NH the daughter of the late Charles E. and Evelyn (Ordway) Cummings.
She was the widow of Frank J. Landry, who predeceased her in 1997.
Family members include her daughters, Susan E. Leavitt of East Kingston, NH and Nancy L. Masterman and her husband, Geoff of Ada, Ohio.
Mrs. Landry lived in the Seacoast area for much of her life and had resided in Dover for the past nine years. An accomplished folk painter, she enjoyed creating exquisite works of art with her brush. She was an instructor in her craft for several years. Although she held various occupations in her lifetime, the dearest to her heart was that of being a loving wife and mother.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, NH at 7 PM on Monday, January 4, 2010. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the funeral home, from 5 PM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115 or at www.dana-farber.org. Burial will be private.
