Barbara Lamothe

Barbara Lamothe of Exeter, NH passed away on May 18, 2011 at the Ridge at Riverwoods in Exeter.

Barbara was born on July 31, 1924 in Marshfield, MA., the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Spang. She raised her family in Dover, MA and moved to Exeter in 2004.

She graduated from Notre Dame Academy, Pine Minor Jr. College and the Boston School of Occupational Therapy. She enjoyed the game of golf and was an avid traveler. Her sense of humor and positive outlook sustained her through her 86 years.

The widow of Paul A Lamothe, MD, her husband of 56 years, she is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Dan Taylor of Palos Verdes, CA, and Nancy and Bruce MacDougall of Exeter, NH; six grandchildren, Jason, Zachary and Alex Taylor and Susan, Rachel and Luke MacDougall; one sister, Virginia McManama, and four brothers, Jack, Bob, Carl and Bill Spang.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the NH S.P.C.A., PO Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Dover, MA.
