Jean V. Kiteley
Exeter, NH – Jean V. Kiteley, 83, died November 16, 2012 at the Lodge at Riverwoods.
She was born on April 6, 1929, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Vettel.
Jean was a graduate of Augsburg College of Minneapolis. She lived in Northampton, MA for almost 50 years and taught music in the public schools there. She was a past president of the League of Women Voters and a political activist and an avid proponent of Single Payer Health Care. Jean had a beautiful voice and was a choir director and soloist, and a longtime member of the Monday Club.
Family members include her husband of 61 years, Murray J. Kiteley; her children, Brian Kiteley and his wife, Cynthia Coburn; Barbara Hill and her husband Peter, and two grandchildren, Emma and Fiona Hill.
Her son Geoffrey Kiteley and her brothers Joseph and James Vettel predeceased her.
A memorial service will be held at the Boulders Campus at Riverwoods, 5 Timber Lane, Exeter, NH, on Saturday, December 8th at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
