Arthur E. Haley, Jr. “Buster”
East Kingston – Arthur E. Haley, Jr., 73, of East Kingston died Thursday, March 14, 2013 from brain cancer at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born December 4, 1939 in Amesbury, MA the son of the late Arthur E. and Irene (Christoffersen) Haley.
He was a graduate of Amesbury High School 1957. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Western Electric (Lucent Technology) retiring in 1998 with 37 years of service.
He enjoyed bird and deer hunting, fishing and camping, history and aviation. He was a Ham radio operator, call letters K1TCI, was a Boy Scout Leader for many years, a member of the Star in the East Lodge A.F.&A.M. of Exeter, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Newburyport, MA where he served as a musician. He was a member of the Fish and Game Clubs of South Hampton and Newton, NH.
He was a devoted husband, father and friend. His quick wit and storytelling will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Family members include his wife Brenda (Raymond) Haley, his daughter Deborah of East Kingston, his son David of Nottingham, his granddaughter, Lauren, his grandson, Grant and his sister, Karen Pawlak all of Epping.
Our family would like to thank Hospice for their kindness and wonderful care they gave “Artie”.
