M. Patricia Grahame
Stratham - M. Patricia Grahame, 78, of Stratham died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the Exeter Hospital after a prolonged illness.
Born June 15, 1932 in Canandaigua, NY, she was the daughter of the late G. Dewey and Ruby (Woodruff) Gage.
Patricia was a graduate of Middlesex Valley School in NY and attended RBI and the American Institute of Banking in NY. She also earned numerous real estate recognitions throughout her career, including her CRB and GRI designations.
She resided in Stratham for the past 36 years moving there from New York, where she spent 20 years in banking, leaving that field as a bank manager. She was a NH Real Estate Broker and developer for many years, having owned Patricia Grahame Real Estate, Inc. and Grahame’s Custom Homes. She was a former board of director member of the Seacoast Board of Realtors and member of the NH and National Association of Realtors.
Patricia was very active in the Stratham Community Church, serving as deacon, Co-Chair of the Building Committee, Chair of the publicity committee and long-time member of the choir. She enjoyed her hobbies of photography and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Michael W.S. Grahame and his wife, Patricia A. Newhall-Grahame of Stratham, her grandchildren, Kristopher M. Grahame and his fiancé, Kathryn Schulte of Boston, MA and Alexandra “Lexi” K. Grahame of Stratham; her siblings, Marion (and John) Fladd of NY, Catherine (and Thomas) Gray of AR, Donna Ratzel of NY, Walter (and Joan) Gage of NY, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Gage and Susan Gage of NY, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and her beloved golden retriever, Dusty.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond Gage and Harvey Gage.
Services will be held at the Stratham Community Church, 6 Emery Lane, Stratham, Thursday Feb 10 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Wednesday, Feb 9 from 4-8 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stratham Community Church, 6 Emery Lane Stratham, NH 03885. Spring Burial will be in Maple Lane Cemetery, Stratham.
