Milton F. Gouldthorpe

Amesbury, MA – Milton F. Gouldthorpe, 90, of Amesbury died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Amesbury Village Nursing Home.

He was born April 27, 1918 in Newburyport, MA the son of the late Thomas and Grace (French) Gouldthorpe.

Mr. Gouldthorpe was raised in the Newburyport, Salisbury areas.  He was a graduate of Amesbury High School Class of 1935.  He was a core driller for the Army Corps of Engineers in Waltham, MA which served all of New England.

He served in the Korean Conflict with the US Navy.  He was a life member of the Newburyport DAV.

Family members include his wife of 68 years, Jane (Greaton) Gouldthorpe of Salisbury, MA, a son Richard H. Gouldthorpe of West, VA, a daughter, Linda Parker of Rye, NH, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

Mr. Gouldthorpe was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor Foss and Mildred Scanell.

Services will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Thursday at 11 AM.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  The family requests no visiting hours and family flowers only.  If desired donations may be made to the Allegiance Hospice, 67 Middle Street, Suite 503, Lowell, MA  01852.  Burial will be in Long Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.
