Gwendolyn G. Goodrich


Exeter – Gwendolyn “Gwen” G. Goodrich, 84, of Exeter died at her home, Wednesday, January 23, 2013.

She was born October 20, 1928 in Epping, NH the daughter of the late George W. and Marion (Marcotte) Gage.

She was a graduate of Watson Academy in Epping and the Concord Hospital School of Nursing graduating with her LPN. 

She worked for several area nursing homes, most of her career was in food service.  She worked for many years for the Exeter School System Hot Lunch Program and later owned and operated her own restaurant in Stratham called the Weathervane.

She will be remembered for her quick wit and contagious smile and sense of humor, always ready with a good story or joke.  She enjoyed working out at Planet Fitness and walking.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Goodrich, her son Kevin Goodrich and her daughter, Lisa Boyers.

Family members  include her sons, Brian Boyers and Keith Goodrich, her daughter, Lauren Goodrich, her brother Gardner Gage and her sister, Janet Morin, six grandchildren and one great grandson.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Saturday, April 13th at 10 AM.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery.  If desired donations may be made to Rockingham VNA/Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833 or the NH SPCA, Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885.
