Kenneth A. Goodman
Kensington – Kenneth A. Goodman, 66, of Kensington died April 8, 2013 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
He was born March 9, 1947 in Cambridge, MA the youngest son of Edward Z. Goodman and Natalie (Clark) Goodman.
Ken attended the George Cogswell School, School Street School, Phillips Exeter Academy, the University of New Hampshire and the school of hard knocks. He was a graduate of Exeter High School, Austin-Cate Academy, Bentley College of Accounting and Finance and Lee Institute.
He worked for many years for the Rockingham Shoe Company, Benjamin Walk Touch up Shoe Company, Marsal Vending and Kenneth Realty. He was a past member of the Rockingham Country Club, a former officer and lifetime member of the New England Shoe Foreman and Superintendents Association, and a member of the American Citizens Club of Polish Descent.
Ken loved music and standard bred horses. He especially enjoyed betting on slow animals which he did with great regularity.
Family members include his high school sweetheart and constant companion, Sarah “Sally” Bickford Goodman whom he married on January 15, 2011, his brother, Alky Goodman of Greenland and many friends.
An Informal gathering will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2 PM. Burial will be private.
