Deanna A. Gifford


Epping – Deanna A. Gifford, 70, of Epping died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 surrounded by her family at Colonial Poplin.

She was born June 23, 1940 in Colebrook, NH the daughter of the late Harry O. and Carolyn (Reynolds) Whitehill.

Mrs. Gifford lived in Colebrook for many years before moving to the NH Seacoast in 1989.  While living in Colebrook she and her husband operated the Nob Hill Shared Home  for people with disabilities, after moving to Fremont she worked at the Rockingham County Nursing Home as a LNA.

Her full time job was raising her grandchildren, she was a devoted, wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed taking the grandchildren to Horse shows and watching the grand children riding which she has enjoyed doing for many years and has many friends in the horse show community.  She and her husband also owned and operated Dee’s Racing Collectables in Kingston for over a decade selling Nascar Collectables.

Family members include her devoted husband of 46 years, Joseph N. Gifford of Epping, her children, Jane C. Murch and her husband, Bill,  and Jodi L. Ochetto both of Epping, Brent H. Gifford and his wife Kathy of Lancaster, her grandchildren, Linley Richardson of TX, Michael Ochetto, Jr. and Sara Deanna Fernald both of Epping, Christopher Gifford of Newport, Christina Cann of Northfield and Nichole Keezer of Epping, her great grandchildren, Zachary Cann and Ella Mae Gifford, her brothers, Terry Whitehill of MA and Gary Whitehall of CT, her beloved sister, Deborah Gaylord and her husband, James Sr, and her stepmother Blanche Whitehill of CT. Her niece Laurie Ann Gaylord of CT and nephew James Gaylord Jr of NC 

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2 PM.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Avenue, Ste. 2, Norwood, MA 02062-5040.  Burial will be private.
