Exeter – Dorothea P. Giaimo, 95, of Exeter died September 1, 2012 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.

She was born June 17, 1917 in Kittery, ME the daughter of the late Stillman and Sadie (Orr) Bowden.

Dorothea was raised in Kittery and was a graduate of Traip Academy and had lived in Portsmouth, before moving to Exeter with her daughter.

She had worked at several nursing homes as a private duty aide.

Family members include her children, Tony Giaimo of MD, Tim Giaimo of NH, Jeanne Reed of South Carolina and Lucia P. Somerset with whom she resided of Exeter, her brother, Henry Bowden of Kittery , also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Thursday from 5-7 PM. Graveside services will be held at the Brooks Memorial Cemetery, Eliot, ME, Friday at 11AM.

If desired donations may be made to the charity of ones’ choice.
