Elinor L. Frank
EXETER — Elinor L. Frank, 79, of the Boulders, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, after a sudden illness.
She was born in Bridgeport, Conn., moving to Portsmouth 12 years ago and to the Boulders in 2010.
She was a graduate of Flushing High School and Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She received her master's degree in genetics from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronx, N.Y.
Mrs. Frank was a certified financial planner for many years in Port Washington, N.Y.
She was a world traveler and loved adventures of any kind. Her most recent adventures took her to Thailand, Malaysia, Brazil, Ecuador and to the Galapagos.
She was bold and outspoken, smart and well informed on many subjects. She loved to entertain, converse and debate. She was a voracious reader. One of her favorite things to do was to go to the beach and watch the waves. She found her solace at the ocean.
She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, Peter and Robin Frank of Windham and Steven and Carmen Frank of Sea Cliff, N.Y.; one daughter, Linda Frank of Huntsville, Ala.; five granddaughters; one sister, Edith Goldstein of Cranberry, N.J.; and two nieces, Susan Miller and Hope Petrucci.
Memorial donations may be made to A Safe Place, the Seacoast Food Pantry or Sloane Kettering Memorial in New York City.
