Raymond J. Fournier
Stratham – Raymond J. Fournier, 88, of Stratham died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Exeter on Hampton.
He was born March 4, 1923 in Haverhill, MA a son of the late Peter A. and Clarrisse (DeVeau) Fournier.
Mr. Fournier was raised in Haverhill, MA and was a graduate of Haverhill High School and Haverhill Trade School. He was a tool and die maker working for Western Electric Company for 37 years.
He was a veteran of the US Air Corp serving during WWII. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, Exeter. He enjoyed films and video recording. He also loved to tell jokes, sing, and play harmonica, and he spent many happy years dancing with his wife at the Rockingham Ballroom.
Family members include his wife, Edith A. (Jalbert) Fournier of Stratham, a son, Paul J. Fournier of Portsmouth, RI, two daughters, Susan M. Voss of Springfield, VA and Jean L. Lloyd of Kingston, four grandchildren, Sarah and Alyssa Fournier of Portsmouth, RI and Jonathan and Natasha Lloyd of Kingston, NH, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fournier was predeceased by his sister, Jeanette Comeau .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Monday at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 AM. Spring burial will be in the Maple Lane Cemetery, Stratham. Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter.
