Virginia L. Fitzpatrick


Newmarket – Virginia L. Fitzpatrick, 92, Newmarket died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at her home.

She was born February 17, 1919 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thurman W. and Helen (Marshall) Longabaugh.

Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where she majored in Art. She, along with her husband, lived all over the world while he worked for IBM. While living in the seacoast area she was active in the Exeter D.A.R. and in the Active Retirement Association in Durham. Wherever she lived around the world, she affiliated with the American Association of University Women.

She was the wife of the late Samuel Fitzpatrick of Sedona, Arizona.

Family members include her children, Samuel Fitzpatrick and his wife, Colleen, Patricia M. Schilling and her husband, Terry, Virginia F. Fitzpatrick, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Saturday, January 21st at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family request no visiting hours and flowers please be omitted. If desired, donations may be made to the Rockingham VNA/Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833. Burial will be private.
