Charles S. Faulkner



Charles S. Faulkner, 82, of Stratham, died suddenly, Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Porstmouth Regional Hospital.

He was born February 25, 1931, in Gainesville, GA the son of the late Charles H. Vernice M. (Gilstrap) Faulkner, and the brother of Lucille Rose Thompson, also deceased.

Mr. Faulkner lived most of his early life in Atlanta, GA and was a graduate of Decatur Boys High School and attended Georgia Tech.  In 1960, he went to work at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, where he worked on the Mercury Rocket Project.  He later worked for many years in the medical imaging profession.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary A. (Tate) Faulkner, two daughters, Connie Czaplyski, Leigh and her husband, Richard Hemeon, and one son, Charles Faulkner, Jr. and his wife Denise.  There are also six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Thursday, from 5 - 7 pm.  Burial will be private.
