Virginia M. Farren
Exeter – Virginia M. Farren, 66, of Exeter and of the Maple Leaf Estates of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Dorchester, MA died November 7, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born July 9, 1945 in Boston, MA the daughter of the late Albert J. and Mary M. (Leamon) Johnson.
She was raised in Dorchester, MA and was a graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School. She worked for State Street Bank in Quincy, MA for 28 years and also worked for the Home Instead program caring for the elderly.
She enjoyed reading and traveling, was a member of the Moose Lodge Women’s Auxiliary in Port Charlotte Florida and a member of (JUGS), the Just us Girls Travel Club.
Family members include her husband of 47 years, Jeremiah D. Farren of Exeter, NH, her son, Jeremiah D. Farren, Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Plainville, MA, her daughter, Shannon F. Bosworth and her husband, Craig of Raymond, NH; her grandchildren, Matthew, Emma and Hannah Farren, Conor and Addison Bosworth, her sister, Margaret M. Cabral-Haller and her husband, Daniel of Wrentham, MA. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her sister, Mary E. Bell of Quincy MA.
A Christian Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, NH, on Saturday, November 12th at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family, on Friday, November 11th from 4 - 7 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Benedict Academy in Manchester NH or the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. At a later date burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
