Donald L. Dube

Donald L. Dube, 54, of East Kingston, NH passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday 1/28/17 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Don is survived by his wife Julie (Weber) Dube, two children Michael Dube and Kaitlin Dube, his parents Leonard Sr. & Jacqueline (Fredette) Dube, his siblings Mark Dube, Theresa (Dube) Chenevert , Andrea (Dube) Hamel , Paula (Dube) Nichols and Leonard Dube Jr., their spouses and many cherished nieces and nephews and in-law’s. His family is large and each and every member held a special place in Don’s heart. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many.

Don spent the first part of his childhood in Nashua, NH moving to Exeter, NH in junior high school. He met his wife in high school and they have been married since 1987.

Don was passionate about music. For many years in the early ‘80’s he was a keyboard player for a local rock band, Law And Disorder later known as Northeast Connection. He was happiest when he was touring with his “band of brothers”, playing various venues throughout New England.

For the last 17 years Don made his career in custom ceramic tile and stone application. He was a master at his trade and his work is admired by many. He was a perfectionist who took great pride in his art and it showed in every job he completed.

Don’s greatest accomplishment was being father to his two children. Many happy memories include lively family dinners, camping, and sporting events. He taught them to be hardworking, strong and proud individuals. Don was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved watching tennis.

Ask Don what a perfect day would be for him and he would most likely say sitting on a warm beach smoking a fat cigar with a black russian. Or two.

In addition to his children he loved spending time with his parents, siblings and nieces and nephews. He was often the last to leave a family get- together because he just could not stop talking. He was a caring and generous individual who would have given anyone his last dime. And often did.

And yes, Donald, we do like your coat.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and loved forever by all of them.

A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 from
10 am -12 noon at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Burial will be private.
